Expérimental Description
Biological tissues may undergo a transition from a monolayer to a 3D dense structure. This is the case for instance in physiological embryonic morphogenesis or in pathological situations such as tumor formation. Here, we use microstructures to initiate and control initial events of 2D to 3D transition and we focus on the particular situation where the first stacked layers are perpendicularly oriented (crisscross multilayering).
