Théorique, numérique Description
Despite its tremendous success, the limits of the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics are well known, and it is now commonly accepted that going beyond the SM is a necessity. The search for physics beyond the SM began in the 1970s, but no new physics signals have emerged to date. Recently, deviations from the SM predictions have been observed in flavour physics. These deviations in the decays of B mesons, known as 'flavour anomalies', have increased with time in terms of statistical significance.
The project consists of studying these deviations, in particular the calculations of these decays in the Standard Model, and studying the theoretical models that can contribute to and modify the decay rates and be responsible for the deviations observed.
