Description
We propose an experimental and theoretical internship followed by a PhD to study topological properties of light when generated in lattices of coupled resonator. These lattices are made of semiconductor cavities realized in our cleanroom and are probed by advanced optical spectroscopy and interferometry at cryogenic temperature. The versality of the platform enables to implement very recent theoretical proposal on topology for quantum particles and to probe them directly in the experiments. The applicant will be involved in the design of the lattices, the experiments to probe the properties of photons generated in the lattices and in the data analysis. References in the detailed proposal show our most recent achievements.
